There are various things to do for the visitors to the island on top of the usual swimming, relaxing with a good book or playing beach games. Wandering around Koh Rong Samloem visiting the local villages, the old lighthouse, the waterfall and even the mangroves for the more adventurous or try one or more of the following activities
Snorkeling
Equipment is available for hire from the bungalow owners or take one of the guided tours offered by various operators on the island advertised in the bungalow receptions and restaurants on the beach
At either end of Saracen Bay there are snorkeling opportunities or take a boat trip which will take you to the best coral
Snuba on Koh Rong Samloem
Snuba is a mix between Snorkeling and Scuba Diving where the user’s are fed air from the surface via a hose and is suitable for those who are capable swimmers but do not have a Scuba certification and can be used as an introduction to a Scuba Diving course

There are numerous dive operations based in Sihanoukville offering everything from fun dives to various PADI certification courses and some of these have a presence on the island of Koh Rong Samloem
Kayaking on Koh Rong Samloem
Kayaks are available for rent from many of the bungalow operators on Saracen Bay. They are priced from around $ 10.00 for the first hour and can be rented for longer times at an agreed price. There are also organised tours which leave at 8.00am and 1.00pm taking in the mangroves trees, the rocky island, a fishing village, a deserted beach and the cave waterfall. The cost for the 4-hour trip is $ 25.00

Jungle Trekking on Koh Rong Samloem
There are a few paths crossing from one side of the island to the other which offer the chance to see some of the resident wildlife on the island. From Saracen Bay there is a path to the old lighthouse at the southwestern corner of the island and also paths through to Lazy Beach, Robinson Bungalows and Huba-Huba Bungalows on the sunset side of the island.
The Beach Island Resort also organises a 2-hour guided trek that departs at 4.30pm for the price of $5.00
